The boys basketball team is making great strides this season with a score of 56-32 against Grand Junction on Feb. 23rd and an even better win against Delta on Feb. 25th with a score of 64-28.

The varsity boys basketball team is off to a great start with 11 wins and 0 losses as of now with only 3 more games left in the season.

“I’m pretty happy so far, [we’re at] 11 and 0,” said Coach Voehringer, “we gotta keep getting better and play for a full 32 minutes.”

The game against Junction on Feb. 23rd was a good win for the team with a score of 56-32. It seemed to give the team some confidence.

“Last night the game went good,” said junior Fletcher Cheezum, “we got off to a slow start in the first off, but offensively we were much better in the 2nd half.”

Their game on Feb. 25th against Delta continued their winning streak, a big key to the team’s victory was good defense.

“I think the game on Thursday went well, we played very good,” senior Jordan Jennings said, “Team D and coach [Voehringer] do a great job of getting us prepared for what exactly they’re going to do and [what] we need executed.”

Unfortunately, masks are required in games as well as practice this season.

“We do have to wear masks when we play, but we’ve all gotten so used to it,” said Cheezum, “the masks haven’t affected us that I have noticed, we are all in pretty good shape.”
