An original Hispanic cake called tres leches.

Tres leches cupcakes are a dry sponge cake with a milk mixture at the

bottom to create a moist dense cupcake vanilla cake.

  1. To start off, preheat your oven to 350.
  2. In order to make these cupcakes you can beat egg whites so soft peaks form. In a separate bowl add yellows of the egg to sugar and vanilla and whole milk.
  3.  Once all thoroughly mixed and combined, fold in half of your egg whites gently then the other half.
  4. Then you sift in your dry ingredients like all purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Add this mixture to cupcake liners and bake for 20 minutes.
  6. When the cupcakes come out, let them dry and they should be dry and hard.
  7. While they dry you can make the milk mixture by whisking together the sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, and evaporated milk.
  8. Once mixed well and cupcakes are dry you may poke holes with a fork in the cupcakes and pour the milk mixture over the top.
  9. Frost the cupcakes and garnish with a fruit and cinnamon if you’d like and that is all for the tres leches cupcakes.
