The 2022 school year is coming to an end rather quickly, especially for the senior graduates who are preparing for their final days of high school.

The Graduation ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 22 at 3:30 pm on the football field at Montrose High School. Graduation plans may fluctuate depending on how severe the weather is that day.

There is a very small possibility of moving graduation inside, if need be tickets will be set into place and each student is allowed 6 tickets.

“Odds of us going inside are slim but nothing’s for sure. Either way, be prepared,” said Principal Barnhill.

Next week Monday, May 16th, and Tuesday, May 17th will be finals for seniors and senior make-ups are on Wednesday, May 18th.

Also on Wednesday, graduating students will officially ‘check out’ by turning in school items such as books, their Ipads, pay all fees, etc. They’ll also receive their caps and gowns and then finally wish their last farewells to the campus. Then Tuesday, May 19th there will be a baccalaureate event at Grace Community Church at 6 pm.

Friday, May 20th is graduation practice on the Football field and will start at 10 am. Remember, this is mandatory so all seniors must be there.

On Sunday, May 22nd after graduation there will be a parent/teacher-organized senior safe graduation party hosted from 7:30 pm until 2:00 am and the location is still to be revealed!

Last but not least if you want a 2022 yearbook, you need to order by today, Friday, May 13th in the activities office. Yearbooks are $65 and will be delivered at the end of June so you don’t miss out on any end-of-year activities!
