Indians fall to the Tigers

The Montrose High School girls softball took yet another loss on Tuesday against Grand Junction with a score of 4-3. The Lady Indians have been working hard at practice all week to get ready for their double header on Sept. 18 against Durango at 3 and 5pm .
“We need to win both games on Friday, we are playing a little bit flat right now, we are working on making our hits and seeing the pitches that are good enough to hit but we have a solid infield and outfield so I believe we can win on Friday if they focus and play to the best of their ability,” Coach Keenan said.
While the season has been rough as far as winning goes, Junior outfield starter Grace Ancell enjoys the comradery of her teammates.
“Our season is going really well, we have a strong united team and it’s great to play with such talented girls,” Ancel said.
The upcoming double header against Durango has the girls excited and hungry for a win.
“I am very excited to play in the double header tomorrow because I know we have the ability to crush Durango if we play our hardest,” Ancel said.
