Senior Josue Fuentes is the kind of person who always makes you laugh. He is a very outgoing person who enjoys being a part of the band.
Josue has been playing instruments such as the guitar, trumpet, accordion, piano and the flugelhorn since 7th grade.
Fuentes feels like his favorite instrument to play would have to be trumpet, because throughout band that’s what instrument he’s played the most. Over the years Josue was able to conquer all the obstacles that stood in his way for playing each instrument.
Josue plans on attending either Colorado Mesa University or Fort Lewis University, which is located in Durango, to major in music education and music performance.
“They both have amazing teaching and music programs such as jazz band, marching band, and browdy bassband,” Fuentes said.
Josue really loved his whole high school experience, his favorite memories was in marching band during competitions, because he was able to meet and see other bands perform.
“During high school I got to make new friends and meet a lot of new people. I also got more freedom than I did in middle school,” Fuentes said.
In Josue’s free time he plays video games, and hangs out with friends. He really enjoys playing musical instruments and can’t wait to further his career in music and being a musician.
